X4RACE Software

The X4RACE software is available in 4 versions. To check which software version is compatible with your device, check the purchase date. Since from 01.01.2023 all devices are installed with the firmware version v.2.0, we are providing the software version Pro v.1.0 for all users of brakes purchased by 01-01-2023.

Installation instructions

1. Download the archive with the configuration program.

2. Unpack the archive to any location on your disk, e.g. Desktop.

3. Run the program.

4. In the opened window, select the COM port, which is used for communication between the device and the panel. You can check the port used by the brake in the device manager:
Disconnect the brake from the computer. Press the "Windows + x" key combination, select Device Manager from the list. Find Ports (COM and LPT) in the list that appears and then expand it. Connect the brake to the USB port and see what new COM port has been assigned to the brake. We select this port from the drop-down list in the brake configuration panel.
In devices with an LED panel, connection to the brake is signalled by a momentary illumination of the diode.

5. Click the Read button – the program will read the parameters saved in memory – the blue fields in the panel should fill in.

6. Open the system "Game Controllers" manager. To open the "Game Controllers" manager in Windows 10, click the magnifying glass on the toolbar and type "Game Controllers". The "Configure Game Controllers" prompt should appear and you should select it. Unlike others on the market, x4race brakes do not require calibration, all operations can be performed from the panel and the operating parameters are saved in the device.

7. Open the system Notepad

8. After completing the steps, you can set the brake parameters according to your preferences. The description of each option is below. The change of parameters in the panel is continuously sent to the brake and can be observed in the open "Game Controllers" window for analog mode or in Notepad for digital mode.

X4Race xLED is a system that will further enhance your experience when using the brake. LEDs, integrated directly into the brake housing, light up sequentially with the movement of the lever.

This makes it easier to notice how hard you brake, and your gameplay becomes even more interesting thanks to new visual effects.

X4R DynamicHall technology uses a Hall sensor, working with a neodymium magnet. This combination guarantees enormous durability with high reading dynamics, at the cost of small non-linearity of operation.
